By land there is approximately 3,100 kilometers from Santiago or 2,300 kilometers from Puerto Montt.
From Puerto Montt to the south the trip is made by the argentinian side and cross back to Chile In the Monte Aymond border near the city of Rio Gallegos Argentina and 192 kilometers away from Punta Arenas.
There are also 4 other border crossing, Rio Don Guillermo, Casas viejas, Dorotea (the closest to Puerto Natales) and San Sebastián in Tierra del Fuego.
There are not regular buses from Santiago, but there are from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas, that takes more than a day to get here (36 hours approximately)
