German Doggenweiler

WHY CHOOSE TUTRAVESIA?

1.- Guide experience

Our principal guide is Germán Doggenweiler who has paddle in his kayak across all Patagonia. From the Aysen Region to the dreaded Cape Horn.

Germán have realized expeditions that exceed the 90 days long and all of it without any kind of external support.

In his last expedition he became into the first person to paddle all the way from Puerto Natales to Cape Horn, alone, in winter, arriving after 78 days of adventure.

German`s experience will help to make your trip more safe and to enjoy of the unaltered Patagonia.

Do you want to know some of German’s adventures?

-         Cape Horn adventure. At the beginning of the year 2005 Germán was starting to paddle in his Sea kayak from the Peninsula Antonio Varas, located in front of the city of Puerto Natales, his destination was the dreaded Cape Horn. If he made it, he would be the first kayaker in making this trip alone and in winter. The problems and difficulties were many, the cold and the hunger were with him all the time, but the will and the desire of adventure were stronger and on July the 20th of 2005, after almost three months, German was arriving to Cape Horn.

-         Challenging the austral channels. In the winter of 2004, German sailed for three months in his fibre glass kayak named “Candela”. He started the navigation in The General Carrera’s Lake (11th region of Chile), and paddled 750 kms, passing through Puerto Eden And The Pio XII glacier, the biggest in south America.

-         Patagonia by horse. A horse Ride back was German’s first adventure in Patagonia. Twelve years ago he rode 500 kms, in one horse, joining the cities of Coyhaique and Chaiten in 30 days.

-         He was part of the team TUTRAVESIA INDOMITA in the Patagonia Expedition Race Winter edition 2006, they get the fourth place. www.patagoniaexpeditionrace.com

German: He is an adventurer like you, which will offer all his will and experience, to make of TuTravesia in Patagonia a more safety and reliable trip.

Beside of being ow principal guide, germán is also partner of Tutravesia, so you can have the security that always in this company all of our paddling activities count with his participation or his surveillance.
